Chef Sally Abé is hosting a spesh IWD lunch at her restaurant The Pem (itself inspired by suffragette Emily Wilding Davison), featuring broadcaster Andi Oliver, sommelier and co-founder of Kitchen Table Sandia Chang, GM of The Coach & Horses Ali Ross, and wine expert Fikayo Ifaturoti.
They’ll all be speaking in a panel discussion on the issues that affect women in hospitality before a Q&A, and then there’ll be a three course lunch of smoked Chalk Stream trout mousse with watercress & trout roe, roast Cumbrian rose veal with purple sprouting broccoli & creamed potato, and lemon meringue with yoghurt sorbet & caramelised white chocolate, served with paired wines. Tickets cost £55, with discounted tickets of £25 for under-25s.
