The people behind Good's Way and Flat Iron Square (a company that happens to be headed up by Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons) are getting ready to launch something new at their own Flat Iron Square, called Audrey's. When can you try it for yourself? Opened on 5th May 2022 🍽️ Parrillan In a nutshell: Grill-your-own in Borough Where is it? 4 Dirty Lane, London SE1 9PA Why your concierge recommends this? This is the second Parrillan, following the Borough opening, from the people behind Barrafina. Alongside tables where you can grill your own food alfresco-style, there will also be an indoor space here with a larger grill menu. When can you try it for yourself? Opened on 6th May 2022 🍽️ The Residency In a nutshell: Notting Hill bar Where is it? 50 Westbourne Grove, London W2 5SH Why your concierge recommends this? Notting Hill is getting this new music-led restaurant and bar which is promising a plant-led menu (but not exclusive as there's a Bone Marrow Burger too) with influences by both European & Caribbean cuisines. When can you try it for yourself? Opened 6th May 2022 🍽️ Le Pont de la Tour Bistro In a nutshell: River Thames sibling restaurant Where is it? 36D Shad Thames, London SE1 2YE Why your concierge recommends this? Taking over the space that was once the restaurant's bar will be the brand new Le Pont de la Tour Bistrot. Designed by their executive chef Tony Fleming, the menu at this offshoot will offer "regional French fare at accessible prices". When can you try it for yourself? 12 May 2022 🍽️ Palazzo In a nutshell: Made of Dough come to Crystal Palace Where is it? 3-6 Church Road, Crystal Palace, London SE19 2TF Why your concierge recommends this? The team behind pizzeria Made of Dough have taken over what was the Church Grill are reopening is as Palazzo - an all day Italian bar and diner. Expect Italian dishes like zucchini fritti and chicken Milanese - and pizza, of course. When can you try it for yourself? 18 May 2022 (soft launch to 22 May) 🍽️ Boundary In a nutshell: Albion becomes "Boundary" Where is it? 2-4 Boundary Street, Shoreditch, London E2 7DD Why your concierge recommends this? Now under new ownership, what was once Albion Cafe is becoming Boundary (as it is within the Boundary building, after all). We can expect modern, seasonal British fare with a European influence in a dramatically redesigned room. When can you try it for yourself? 18 May 2022 🍽️ Chotto Matte Marylebone In a nutshell: Chotto mk II Where is it? 26 Paddington St, London W1U 5QY Why your concierge recommends this? Kurt Zdesar is getting ready to open a second Chotto Matte in London - this time in Marylebone (taking over from where Fucina used to be). Expect the usual focus on Nikkei cuisine, the blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines, with new dishes and cocktails. When can you try it for yourself? 20 May 2022 🍽️ Cavita In a nutshell: A taste of Mexico in Marylebone Where is it? 56 Wigmore St, Marylebone, London W1U 2RZ Why your concierge recommends this? Mexican-born chef Adriana Cavita is taking inspiration from her family and childhood in Mexico with her first solo venture in London, complete with basement mezcaleria. When can you try it for yourself? 20 May 2022 🍽️ Black Bear Burger In a nutshell: New burgers for Exmouth Market Where is it? 17 Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell, London EC1R 4QD Why your concierge recommends this? Black Bear is taking over what actually used to be a Dirty Burger with their burgers which have plenty of 12-hour braised beef brisket added (and brisket spring rolls too). When can you try it for yourself? 25 May 2022 🍽️ Mr Ji Camden In a nutshell: TATA + chicken in Camden Where is it? 63-65 Parkway, London NW1 7WP Why your concierge recommends this? After big success in Soho, Mr Ji is opening a second restaurant in Camden. Once again, it'll have a menu from TATA Eatery's Zijun Meng and Ana Gonçalves and expect popular dishes like the Prawn ‘In’ Toast and The Sichuan Burger to make an appearance. When can you try it for yourself? 27 May 2022 🍽️ Berenjak Borough In a nutshell: Iranian kababs in Borough Market Where is it? 1 Bedale St, London SE1 9AL Why your concierge recommends this? Berenjak is all about Persian-style cuisine with charcoal-grilled kababs being a particularly big draw. Their first restaurant was in Soho and the bigger Borough location will allow them to have a much bigger menu. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ The Black Sheep In a nutshell: Gladwins in Wimbledon Where is it? 67 High St, Wimbledon, London SW19 5EE Why your concierge recommends this? The Gladwin Brothers (behind Sussex, Nutbourne and more) are taking over what was The White Onion in Wimbledon. As with their other restaurants, expect a strong focus on sustainably sourced British produce. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ Napoli Gang In a nutshell: Napoli Gang gets real Where is it? 149 Ladbroke Grove, London W10 6HJ Why your concierge recommends this? Until now, Napoli Gang was the delivery service of Big Mamma, the people behind Circolo Popolare. Now they're opening a real-life pizza shop in Ladbroke Grove. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ Angelo Musa at Harrods In a nutshell: Top French patisserie in London Where is it? 87–135 Brompton Road Knightsbridge London SW1X 7XL Why your concierge recommends this? Angelo Musa is HUGE in Paris where he works at super luxe hotel Hotel Plaza Athénée and he's been enticed over to London by Harrods. Expect some VERY insta-worthy pastry creations. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ Amethyst In a nutshell: Tasting menus in Mayfair Where is it? 6 Sackville Street, London W1S 3DD Why your concierge recommends this? Run by ex-Xier chef Carlo Scotto, Amethyst will carry on the style of tasting menus that Scotto was serving at Xier. When can you try it for yourself? May 20222 🍽️ Aragawa London In a nutshell: Japanese beef import Where is it? 38 Clarges Street, London W1J 7EN Why your concierge recommends this? One of Tokyo's most prestigious restaurants, Aragawa is opening its first restaurant outside Japan. Billed as one of the world's most expensive restaurants, tt forged a reputation for doing one thing very well - their melt-in-the-mouth Kobe beef. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ The Lucky Club Camden In a nutshell: Cocktails & tacos on the terrace Where is it? North Stables Yard, Camden Market, Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8AH Why your concierge recommends this? Having made a name for themselves in the West End serving up cocktails and bao, the team behind The Lucky Club Mayfair are heading north for a roof terrace space. They'll specialise in Margaritas and Mezcal cocktails alongside a range of seasonal tacos. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ Cicchetti In a nutshell: Knightsbridge Italian Where is it? 6 Hans Road, London SW3 1RX Why your concierge recommends this? This is the third Cicchettis in London from the San Carlo group. As with their previous restaurants, it'll all centre around "contemporary Italian dining" with fresh pasta dishes, pizza, fish and meat-focused "carne" plates alongside a selection of fritti dishes. When can you try it for yourself? May 2022 🍽️ Riding House Café In a nutshell: Riding in Bloomsbury Where is it? Brunswick Centre, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 1BS Why your concierge recommends this? Another Riding House Cafe is on the way - this time to Bloomsbury. As with those before it, the new Riding House Cafe will be a modern brasserie and this one will find its home in the Brunswick Centre. They're aiming for a club-like feeling in Bloomsbury (no membership needed, of course). When can you try it for yourself?
