After wowing audiences in Sheffield, Lolita Chakrabarti’s stage adaptation of Yann Martel’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel Life of Pi is coming to the West End for a run at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Hiran Abeysekera is returning to play Pi, the boy stranded on a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger, after a cargo ship sinks in the Pacific Ocean, with state-of-the-art puppetry and visual effects bringing the tale to life.
