Running since 1977, the London International Mime Festival features the best mime acts from around the world. It covers just about every facet of visual theatre you can imagine. Whether you’re there for the classic mime, the puppetry or the explosive feats of physical prowess, there’s always something fantastic to see. There are also workshops in maskwork, mime, and clowning, to name just a few.
The 14 productions include no fewer than 7 LIMF co-commissions with British work centre-stage. Performers include Sean Gandini’s contemporary juggling stars, Barely Methodical Troupe, Opposable Thumb, Theatre Re, The PappyShow, Thick & Tight and a restaging of Vanishing Point’s international hit, Interiors. From France there are spellbinding productions from LIMF favourites, Stereoptik and Aurélien Bory’s Compagnie 111. The festival takes place at venues throughout the city so be sure to double check your venue ahead of time. Tickets are booked via each venue or by contacting the concierge.
