We have picked out several new restaurants launching this November for you to look forward to: The Chelsea Pig (Launches November 1st / soft launch till November 10th) 35 Old Church Street, London, SW3 5BS Interior Designer, Timothy Oulton, has returned back to the UK to open his first pub in Chelsea. With an eye for design this new venue is not to be missed. Hithe and Seek (Launches November 1st) 60 Upper Thames Street, London, EC4V 3AD This wine bar with a riverside view is opening up on November 1st with amazing views across the Thames to the Tate Modern and The Globe Theatre. It is one of two eating and drinking spots at this new luxury hotel on the north bank's Queenhithe. Mallow (Launches November 8th) 1 Cathedral Street, Borough Market, London, SE1 9DE It's been 33 years since Mildreds first opened its doors in Soho, in a flash transforming London's vegetarian restaurant scene. Now they're getting ready to open their first brand new restaurant in three decades that is completely plant-based. Panton Yokocho (Launches November 11th) 35a Panton Street, London, SW1Y 4EA This is the second 70s style ramen bar from the people behind Japan Centre (and it's close to their store too). Expect ramen from all over Japan and they're adding udon and soba here too. Yatay (Launches November 15th) 22 Wardour Street, London, W1D 6QQ Yatay is a new Japanese robatayaki grill restaurant, inspired by the izakayas and street vendors of Tokyo. In addition to the grilling, pickling and fermenting will be a big thing on the menu and they'll have a separate basement bar too. Mowgli (Launches November 15th) 5 Charlotte Street, London, W1T 1RE Billed as "Indian street food", Mowgli has taken over what used to be the Cote brasserie on Charlotte Street. It's run by former barrister Nisha Katona who has made a big success of it throughout the UK. Hawksmoor Wood Wharf (Launches November 25th) 1 Water Street, London, E14 The Hawksmoor empire is expanding as they get ready to ope their seventh restaurant, this time in Canary Wharf. Their latest place will actually be floating in the water. Expect steaks, cocktails, lots of outside seating and one of their biggest bars to date. Dai Chi (Launches Mid November) 16A D'Arblay Street, London, W1F 8EA The people behind Angelina are launching something a bit different in Soho. Dai Chi will be all about bringing Osaka's kushikatsu dining to Soho. That's panko-breadcrumbed deep-fried skewers of meat, fish and vegetables. The Maine (Launches November) 6 Medici Court, London, W1S 1JY This is part of a full redevelopment of a 18th-century Georgian townhouse on the redeveloped Hanover Square. There are three areas - plus a huge terrace - and the menu is influenced by New England with dishes like lobster poutine on the menu. Fallow St James's (Launches November) 2 St James's Market, London, SW1Y 4RP Popular restaurant Fallow have finally found a place they can call their permanent home. If you're one of Fallow's loyal customer base, then you'll be pleased to hear that dishes like their corn ribs, mushroom parfait and fallow deer tartare will be on offer here. But there are also loads of new dishes planned. Carousel (Launches November) 19-23 Charlotte Street, London, W1T 1RL Carousel, the space from brothers Ed and Ollie Templeton that holds rotating chef residencies, is on the move to Fitzrovia. They'll have new spaces too, including all-day wine bar. Il Borro (Launches November) 15 Berkeley Street, Mayfair, London, W1J 8DY Taking the space on Berkeley Street once held by Nobu, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro is a high-end Italian restaurant with strong links to a Tuscan estate and farm. They even have their own wines... Manteca (Launches November)
49-51 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3PT After two residencies in Soho over the past three years, Chris Leach and David Carter's Manteca is finally getting a permanent restaurant, this time in Shoreditch. With a menu that marries Italian cuisine with British ingredients, expect old favourites and new dishes here. Warehouse (Launches November) The Conduit, 6 Langley Street, London, WC2H 9JA Ex Silo chef Brendan Eades' new digs are at The Conduit members club in Covent Garden who are about to open their first restaurant, which will be open to the public. Sustainability is at the heart of the menu. Le Petit Beefbar (Launches November) 19-20 Dover Street, London, W1S 4LU The people behind Kensington's Latin American restaurant Zuaya and Como Garden, the Italian restaurant next door, are looking to Spain for inspiration for their next restaurant. the restaurant will be focusing on Spain's northern regions. Friends of Ours (Launches November) 15-17 Hill Rise, Richmond, TW10 6UQ The Gladwins, the brothers behind restaurants including The Shed, Nutbourne, Sussex & Rabbit, are adding another restaurant to their collection. This time they're heading even further west, to Richmond. SeaSons Mayfair (Launches November) 6-10 Bruton Street, London W1J 6PU SeaSons already has a few fishmonger/bistros dotted across town (Fitzrovia, Notting Hill, Bayswater, Kensington) and even has plans for Miami and New York but this will be their flagship restaurant in London, taking over the building that used to be The Square. Carmel (Launches November/December) Lonsdale Road, Queen's Park, NW6 6RR The team behind Berber & Q are coming to Queen's Park. Carmel will be both a bit of departure from what came before, but still with a touch of inspiration from North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean. Vergine Maria (Launches November/December) 15 St Mary's Road, Ealing, London, W5 5RA Coming from the same team as London's top tier pizzeria Santa Maria, this new vegan pizzeria is great news for London's veggie crowd. Zia Lucia Balham (Launches November/December) 65 Balham High Road, London, SW12 9AP This is the latest pizzeria from Zia Lucia, which started in North London, and the restaurant is all centred around their 48-hour slow fermented doughs. With each pizza, you get a choice of traditional white flour, wholemeal, gluten-free or vegetable charcoal base.
