As well as London’s eclectic offering of plant-based specials and at-home kits to tuck into this Veganuary, you’ll also be able to feast on a five-course vegan lunch inside Pantechnicon’s Sachi restaurant with chef Tim Anderson behind the menu. After living, breathing and eating the Japanese foodie culture for more than twenty years, winning MasterChef back in 2011 AND opening his own izakaya restaurant in Brixton, it only makes sense that he’s let loose in the kitchen of one of the city’s best Japanese spots.
Taking place on both 15th January and 13th February (with three different time slots to choose from), you’ll be able to lunch on the likes of winter tomatoes marinated in ginger tsuyu; Japanese mushroom parcels with garlic and soy sauce; kimchi and tofu gyoza; Tan Tan noodles with spicy sesame dressing; and sweet potato Mont Blanc. All of the dishes have been based on recipes from Tim’s books, which you’ll also be able to nab a signed copy of too. Tickets are £60 for the five courses, or £95 if you’re feeling swish and fancy adding curated wine and sake pairings.
