You Have Been Invited To 'The Responder' Online Panel Discussion with Question & Answer (January 18th)

Written by Liverpool based ex-police officer Tony Schumacher and starring Martin Freeman, The Responder holds a mirror up to the emotional extremes of life on the front line of British policing - sometimes darkly funny, sometimes painfully tragic, always challenging.

The Responder follows Chris (Martin Freeman), a crisis-stricken, morally compromised and unconventional urgent response officer tackling a series of night shifts on the beat in Liverpool.

Whilst trying to keep his head above water both personally and professionally, Chris is forced to take on a new rookie partner Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo). Both soon discover that survival in this high pressure, relentless, night-time world will depend on them either helping or destroying each other.

Join this panel with cast members Martin Freeman, Adelayo Adedayo, Josh Finan and Emily Fairn who will be joined by Executive Producer Laurence Bowen, Series Producer Rebecca Ferguson and writer Tony Schumacher.

This digital event will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 18 January for a live webinar when you’ll be able to put your questions to the stars of the show and see exclusive clips ahead of broadcast. The Responder was produced by Dancing Ledge Productions for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It was filmed in and around Liverpool City Region and supported by the LCR Production Fund through the Liverpool Film Office.
