Eighteen years after he staged His Dark Materials at the National Theatre, Nicholas Hytner is back directing another Philip Pullman adaption, this time at the Bridge Theatre. The Book of Dust – La Belle Sauvage is set twelve years before His Dark Materials, and follows the story of two young people and their daemons, as they work to save baby Lyra Belacqua, who’s being hunted by the authorities in a flooded Oxford.
