The Lexo Club's Gold Card is priced at £55 per month or £594 per annum. When paying using monthly payments, you only have to commit to 6-months of membership, rather than a whole year as well now.
We've made some changes and now the benefits of the Gold Card now include the ability to request tickets for events via The Lexo Club Concierge, which was not previously included. Therefore to do so, we now will not issue a physical card as standard. Members will still recieve their Membership Card Number as these are generated regardless and used in the process of bookings & concierge requests. While the Platinum Card remains at a 6 month waiting list and strict application only basis, The Lexo Club's Gold Card is open for instant acceptance and sign-up. Simply head over to the 'Apply' page and select Gold. Once you fill-out all of your details and submit, you will be instantly accepted and we will start setting up your account. They are both ‘shown’ seasonally, their appeal is multi-sensorial, and they each incite passion and obsession.
The Garden Museum’s spring/summer 2022 exhibition will explore the use of roses in fashion from the Victorian era to today, with designs from Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Ashish and Comme des Garçons amongst other historic and modern collections. Throughout history artists, designers and writers have explored this fragrant flower and its deterrent thorns (technically they are prickles) – a conjunction of opposites – to draw out illusions to love, beauty, sexuality, sin, rites of passage, degradation, and death. A creative collaboration between guest curator Amy de la Haye and set designer Simon Costin, this exhibition will also draw inspiration from the Garden Museum collection and gardens to explore the tensions between wild and cultivated, natural and artificial roses within fashion apparel, image making and contemporary craft practices. Fashions designed by Alexander McQueen (fashion’s rosarian) and Comme des Garçons will be shown alongside ‘rosy’ undergarments dating from the 18th century and the latest gender-neutral designs by Ashish. Accessories will include including millinery by Stephen Jones and Philip Treacy; a rose bucket bag by Lulu Guinness and a selection of gorgeously decorated fans. Simon Costin’s dramatic ‘Rose and the Nightingale’ neckpiece – which ruptures the wearer’s skin when worn – and a jet mourning brooch will communicate the rose as a metaphor for the savage pain of love unfulfilled and forever lost. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue and a programme of public events including talks, workshops and a Friday Late. Tickets are priced at £14.95 per person (including VAT + Booking Fees). Discounts available to senior citizens & children aged 7-18 years of age. Children under the age of 7 years old, attend for free. Please contact The Lexo Club Concierge if you would like more information or to make a booking with us... Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear is the first major V&A exhibition to celebrate the power, artistry and diversity of masculine attire and appearance. Contemporary looks by legendary designers and rising stars will be displayed alongside historical treasures from the V&A's collections and landmark loans: classical sculptures, Renaissance paintings, iconic photographs, and powerful film and performance.
The exhibition showcases the variety of possible masculinities across the centuries from the Renaissance to the global contemporary: from looks by Gucci, Harris Reed, Grace Wales Bonner and Raf Simons, to paintings by Sofonisba Anguissola and Joshua Reynolds, contemporary artworks by David Hockney and Omar Victor Diop, to an extract from an all-male dance performance by Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. The exhibition presents around 100 looks alongside 100 artworks, displayed thematically across three galleries, Undressed, Overdressed, and Redressed. Undressed explores the male body and underwear, looking at how classical European ideals of masculinity have been perpetuated and challenged over the centuries. Plaster casts of the Apollo Belvedere and the Farnese Hermes – which highlight a tradition of depicting idealised male bodies draped in textiles that reveal more than they conceal – will be juxtaposed with fashion by Jean-Paul Gaultier and A-COLD-WALL*, and prints and photography by Lionel Wendt, Zanele Muholi and Isaac Julien. Tickets are priced at £20 per person. Children under the age of 11 enter for free. Student discount is also available. Please contact The Lexo Club Concierge for more information regarding this event or to make a booking... A display of lyrics behind the most famous songs of all time. Showcasing previously unseen material from Paul McCartney’s personal archive, our free Entrance Hall display celebrates the life and art of one of the world’s most successful songwriters and performers.
The lyrics and photographs span his career – from his earliest compositions through the legendary decade of The Beatles, to Wings and his solo albums to the present. Open for everyone, this display accompanies the Beatles’ lyrics featured in our free Treasures Gallery alongside works by his literary inspirations Charles Dickens, Lewis Carroll and Virginia Woolf. The display includes highlights from the 154 songs included in Paul McCartney - The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present published by Allen Lane this autumn, which recounts his life and art through the prism of songs from all stages of his career. This exhibition is taking place at the British Library in London until the 13th of March 2022 and is completely free to attend. Tickets are not required so feel free to turn up when the exhibition is open. Please contact The Lexo Club Concierge for more information or for assistance in arranging your attendance... With 3.3 million gorgeous inhabitants, Milan is Italy’s second-largest city, but in terms of fashion, it’s second to none. Since the Renaissance, Milan has been center of art, literature and innovation. The city that inspired one of the greatest store-bought cookies ever made (thanks, Pepperidge Farm!) defines fashion by defying the rules. Every February, up-and-coming labels and established fashion houses show off their fall and winter collections. However, Milan honors its designers all year. Sponsored by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Milan Fashion Week represents the best of the organization’s Made in Italy moniker by celebrating the artist, the individual and the provocateur. While other fashion capitals cling to the mainstream, Milan dangles over the cutting edge. Its infinitely talented designers favor creations that make a statement or turn high fashion into high art. In Milan, the only thing you can expect is a dose of the unexpected. It might be a powerful social commentary or a play on a decade-defining design moment. One thing you can expect is an endless string of designers, celebrities and fashion lovers. Recent sightings have included legends like Jeff Goldblum and street style icon and Milan native Tamu McPherson. Italy has brought us some of our favorite fashion brands of all time, and they’ll all be there. Milan is one place, other than our dream closet, where you can find Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Armani, Dsquared2, Miu Miu and many others in the same space. World-Class Fashion, Art and History in MilanWhether you’re arriving from London, Tokyo or L.A., Milan beckons fashion lovers with its elite ateliers, luxurious boutiques and world-class museums. While you’re there, stroll down the Via della Spiga, one of the world’s most renowned and elegant high-street shopping areas. Take a selfie next to the marble spires of the Duomo, or admire the artful shops in the Quadrilatero d’Oro. In Milan, you can buy some Versace, see a da Vinci and pick out a chic new roll-on to carry it all home. This February, join your fellow members of The Lexo Club and the luminaries of the fashion industry in Milan for an unforgettable experience on the runway and behind the scenes.
